What a future object record carries
Every object added to this archive is described with a stable identifier, title, date, creator, holding repository or owner, source reference, rights status and rights holder, provenance state, transcription and translation where applicable, related claims, people, places and events, a checksum of the preservation copy, and a permitted display state. An object whose display state is not cleared is listed, as above, as a known holding with rights pending — it is never shown.
Realistic routes to cleared material are recorded in the research register: SGPC records at Amritsar, the family (outreach not currently undertaken), the Panjab Digital Library, and Lahore-era press holdings.
Future preservation architecture
Object records are structured to support a future IIIF-based presentation layer, but no image server, viewer or preservation platform is deployed in this release. The archive itself is static and Git-backed: a copy of the built site from any point in its history remains a complete, readable record without any server-side dependency.
