Master Tara Singh is reported to have written, in Akali te Pardesi, that Samundri did not become a martyr by dying, because his whole life had already been martyrdom. This is a paraphrase of a widely circulated tribute; the original Punjabi has not yet been located and quoted with a citation.
This is the exact wording approved for public display. It is never strengthened beyond what the tier — Partially supported — published only with attribution — permits.

The dossier grades this C/D; the tribute is a published statement by a named contemporary, so tier C with explicit attribution is applied and the original is sought.
